On assessment and evaluation of teaching computer networks to electrical engineering students by the aid of a lab course

In the era of Internet-of-everything, learning principles data communications and networking is inevitable for many electrical engineering disciplines. The paper addresses effectiveness teaching fundamentals using a dedicated lab course as co-requisite to classic lecture-based course. introduced course, students are asked do variety tasks real hardware network simulator. introduces quantitative measures an outcome-based approach applied both courses. Based on students’ achievements, role in attainment outcomes program measured comparison with case where not taken. Our findings reveal general enhancement trend significant increase outcome related solving problems.
